Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very well-known. As a child Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by many people in America. It was during her ninth grade that she gained confidence following her acclaim in an audition. She not only gained confidence through the audition however, she also re-evaluate her the direction of her career. She graduated at the age of 22 with a degree from Julliard School in New York. At the age of 23 she began her career making her debut on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. The most notable achievement of her career was in the role of The Lady Of The Lake on Spamalot's first Broadway production. Not only did she win the Tony Award, but her performance was also well-received by reviewers. Later in the same year she joined the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. As a well-known singer, she has also recorded songs and plays. Additionally, she works as an LGBT activist.
