She took first place in her first surf competition at the age six, using a vintage board that she discovered outside of her home. In 2005, she began surfing. She was the winner of her first competition at the age of 6. As a young girl she had received a sponsorship. Born at San Clemente California, she eventually moved to Hawaii. In collaboration with OK1984, a jewelry company in 2014, she launched her Gypsy Jet Set line of jewellery.
